City and colour - waiting (brand new)

hmmm seems that the video has been disabled. nuts. clickety click on this link to see it...

I am detecting a theme...Waiting...
So, by way of St Catherine's Ontario Canada, may I introduce some of my long distance friends to the great talent that is
City and Colour (his name is Dallas Green, also of the post-punkhardcore local band Alexisonfire)

p.s. I highly highly recommend his entire disc...just amazing. 'Sleeping Sickness' is another incredible track...(and features Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip . (who I used to go see back in 'da day' at pubs in Kingston On, I feel old now...) yay Canada, we have so many amazing talents here)

and please enjoy, I love this song so much...here are the lyrics:

A coma might feel better than this,
Attempting to discover, where to begin,
You're weighed down you're full of something,
Of sickness and desertion,
You're weighed down you're full of something,
You're underneath it all.

So say goodbye to love,
And hold your head up high,
There's no need to rush,
We're all just waiting, waiting to die.

Hoping a better place is all I need,
With moments of innocence and mystery,
Oh, it's the little things you miss,
Like waking up all alone,
Oh, it's the little things you miss,
When you're underneath it all.

So say goodbye to love,
And hold your head up high,
There's no need to rush,
We're all just waiting, waiting to die.

All your friends seem like enemies,
When you're broken down and empty,
Oh oh.
All your friends seem like enemies,
When you're broken down and empty,
Oh oh.

So say goodbye to love,
And hold your head up high,
There's no need to rush,
We're all just waiting, waiting to die.

ya baby ya...

as much as it sucks, waiting, for whatever you are waiting for, happens.
and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
and there isn't a reason to believe that it is a negative thing either. in this society uncertainty = bad.
and waiting, or being patient, isn't a skill many of us know. it's now now now...dammit...we are taught to go after what we want and take control. so, waiting or being patient is not something that comes easily, if at all.

but sometimes, life really is just a matter of timing.
and that's it.
